Treasurer’s Report - We reviewed the January – April statement provided by our treasurer. We agreed to provide funds for the purchase of audio equipment. We will also spend money for Senior Gifts. The Snider
family has volunteered to take over the Treasurer position during the 2010 – 2011 school year. We decided we need to come up with a budget based on past income/expenses prior to the new school year. Chamber students should pay more at the beginning of the year to cover all costs.
Fundraising –
The mother’s day flower basket sales are under way. We decided 50% of the
profit will go to student account and 50% to general fund. We discussed snack
sales and picked possible weeks. Only two weeks will be allotted. Our week choices in order of preference: 3rd week
of Sept; sometime in Jan.; 3rd week of Oct; sometime in Feb, sometime in April.
We need to schedule three people, but must have two at each.
Bylaws – We
did not get any volunteers to help with the reading/drafting the bylaws for the Francis Howell Choir Booster Club. We decided to postpone this project until after the school year ends.
Spring Concert – We don’t charge enough to cover our costs, so we decided to raise the price
to $4 for adults and $3 for children at the next concert. We should provide the
CD order form as an email to parents in case they forgot to order that night. We
discussed the possibility of selling DVDs. No decision was reached.
Choir Picnic –
Lisa will begin contacting people regarding what to bring to the picnic and what to provide.
Karey is going to do an inventory of paper products, lemonaid mix, etc.
Singer’s Choice – Scott Ely will help Karey with the set. They will meet and make plans to
have it ready by the 17th. We need volunteers: admission takers for both shows and back stage supervisor for 2nd show. Lisa will check out candy bars and prices and talk with Karey about selling them at the concert. If we do, we will need to post a sign that they are not to be eaten in the auditorium. Parents should bring cookies for the students between
shows. Lisa will order pizza.
Choir Boosters -
Vicky Mason is going to work on the details.
Choir Robes –
Pam will take inventory and repair robes over the summer. We decided not to pay
for cleaning at this time.
Hawaii Trip – We will have an important meeting
on May 24th to collect a $100 refundable deposit, give information, and firm up the headcount of those who are
interested in taking the Hawaii trip.
